Course Brief:

Disputes on fair wear and tear of fittings, furniture and appliances often occurs during the handing-over of property and the end of a tenancy. Each salesperson is expected by their client to their interest and this further add-on to the difficulty of coming to a fair settlement.

The definition of fair wear and tear is very subjective with different yard stick. Getting embroiled in this to consumes time and resources and thus it is important for the industry to develop certain acceptable norms and methods in various circumstances to aid clients to come to an amicable settlement.
